One Day Hill is a small, independent publisher based in Collingwood and works with Aboriginal authors and communities to promote their stories and cultures. Many of their books are children’s books, and they are often managed so that a percentage of profits goes back to communities.
The children’s book Black Fella White Fella, from the song by Neil Murray, will be launched at 10:30am Wednesday, 18 July, at the Bunjilaka Aboriginal Cultural Centre at Melbourne Museum. It will be launched by Archie Roach. Entry is free if you bring a printout of the invite (356kb pdf).
They’re also giving away a signed copy of the book. To enter the competition, ‘like’ the competition on One Day Hill’s Facebook page. The winner will be announced on Facebook on 19 July 2012.
