Main Ridge Dairy make amazing goats cheese and it’s all scrumptious. Order a tasting platter for 3-4 ($35), sit on the grass and nibble while telling the goats in the nearby paddock how much you appreciate their work. The ‘Flinders fetish‘ goat feta from Red Hill cheese (which we visited on the same day) is also delicious, and they have a wider range of cheeses, but Main Ridge have something special. I particularly love the ‘cashmere’, a fresh goat curd that can be eaten sweet or savoury. It’s tart on its own and amazing with fruit.
