The former Eatz n Treatz cafe on Smith St closed some time ago and the space received a complete refit to become an expansion of the Social Studio next door. The old cafe in the back of the Social Studio is now next door and has its own name – the Cutting Table. I’ve had a good coffee at the old cafe but the new one is even better. I must return to try the lunch burgers but I had breakfast there yesterday – the breakfast burger features tomato and spinach with free range eggs and delicious spicy sauce. It’s simple but also a winner. I really like their coffee too.

Have been meaning to check it out. I went twice when the cafe was out the back. I would eat and then 20 high school kids on an excursion would come in with the manager and get a talk about the place (and me too unwittingly!) it put me off a bit, but must give it another go.
