Le Cellier opened last year as an extension of Madame Sousou and I’ve been meaning to try it ever since, but as it’s only open during the week that has proven difficult. I finally got their yesterday and chose the $13.50 lunchbox, which is filled with the baguette, salad and financier (friand) of your choice. You’re meant to take away only but it was quiet at Madame Sousou and I was able to sit out the front.

The smoked salmon baguette and the artichoke salad were delicious together, and the chocolate financier was light but also rich. Along with a typically good Madame Sousou, this is a good quality lunch at a reasonable price. Le Cellier has been reviewed by Jess Ho and Mel hot or not and makes a nice alternative if you’ve had so many cheap pintxos at Naked for Satan that you can’t face another.
