I walked back to Fitzroy after a session of the French Film Festival at the Kino yesterday and was hungry for lunch. Sadly Sonido stops serving food at 3pm and it was already 3.45pm. One of their wonderful coffees strengthened me for the extra walking required to find lunch. It can be surprisingly hard to get good food out of meal times. But Alimentari never disappoints. Meatballs flavoured with cinnamon and crusty bread to soak up the sauce – $12. A glass of pinot noir – $9. Satisfaction – priceless.
