The Sporting Club hotel in Brunswick seems like a great place. I met a group of friends there recently on a Tuesday night for the $12 all you can eat paella special. It’s a good paella mixta with a reasonable amount of fillings, including chorizo, chicken, mussels and pippies. I’m keen to try the diverse menu on other nights, and there’s lots of different spaces in this large pub. It’s a good place for groups.

Timing is important here, because the paella pan is huge and towards the end it gets a bit dry, and the heat is turned off, so it’s also not very hot. You have to either sit nearby or wander past from time to time and loiter, waiting to see a fresh pan brought to the front of the counter.
