Artist Lia Steele has her debut solo exhibition Eden opening tonight (6-8pm) at C3 Contemporary Art Space at the Abbotsford Convent, which incorporates a series of photographic portraits. The artist’s statement explains that the photographs examine the transitory stage of youth and human’s relationship with nature.
For the opening night and selected periods during the exhibition some of the portraits (printed on weatherproof vinyl) will be displayed in the Abbotsford Convent gardens around C3. On the opening night some of the artworks will be installed on the grounds outside C3 and will be lit after dark. The exhibition runs until 17 October.
