On the evening I arrived at Mt Bellevue during a recent trip through the King Valley we were rewarded with beautiful sunset and scenery.
On our evening walk along one of the unsealed roads on the property following the beautiful sunset, a man on a green tractor drove past us, stopped at a closed gate, opened it and drove through and up a steep hill in a paddock. A short time later a young man driver a six wheeled John Deere Gator drove up to us, stopped, and inquired in a strong French accent ‘Ave you seen a man on a green tracteur?’
We pointed to the paddock and continued on our walk, then fell about laughing while making Allo Allo references. We wanted to ask if the man driving the tractor had stolen the painting of the fallen Madonna with the big boobies.
The next morning, we could see the valley below filled with clouds and fog, which later cleared to reveal valleys of lush green.
