Many of the cafes or restaurants that have opened in recent years have used mismatched op-shop crockery, but three relatively new places have ignored this to start a new trend in matching crockery: The Estelle on High St Northcote, Proud Mary on Oxford St Collingwood and Munsterhaus on St George’s Rd. The op-shop era is over. From the top down: French blue cups and/or saucers are used at Proud Mary, The Estelle’s deco influenced crockery and Munsterhaus’ crockery that looks like Nanna’s except it’s new.
