I find this advertising from a bank on Smith St amusingly pointless. They claim that ‘Fitzroy business needs a Fitzroy business mind’, but business in Fitzroy is not done Monday-Friday 9am-5pm as per the hours they list on their window. I reject their limited corporate worldview as another marketing failure.

    The thing with marketing is, no matter how stupid or wrong the slogan is, it’s only a “failure” if it turns people away and sadly, I don’t think this will. In fact it will probably achieve exactly what they hope to achieve, which is to draw in stupid, cashed-up wankers who imagine that Brunswick St is an automatic gold mine.

      Possibly, but the high rate of small business failures on Brunswick St reminds the rest of us of the risky reality!

    Hear, hear! I live not too far away from this branch, but the amount of time I spend nearby between 9am and 5pm is 0!
