Recent work on the facade and apparently also the interior of the former Fitzroy post office building on the corner of Brunswick St and Johnston St has restored its visual appeal. The eastern side of the north facade on Johnston St is no longer ugly and is ready for new tenants.

The west facade on Brunswick St needs a rethink as the space does not work – the cafe and market is now merely a shop as the cafe part has been closed for some time. In the middle, Kleen continues to occupy one of the most visible retail positions in Fitzroy.

What I want to know is whats going in to the left of Kleen (in the last picture)? They’ve been renovating it for a few months now.
