After visiting the MINT toy museum I wandered further down Seah street looking for somewhere for lunch (the museum has its own cafe serving European style food like pasta, but that was of no interest to me in Singapore).

A few doors down I found Sin Swee Kee Chicken Rice and went inside. I ordered the traditional chicken rice, some green vegetable with oyster sauce and a refreshing lime juice.

The chicken rice was excellent, and came with a tasty chicken broth. I helped myself to the red chilli and the green ginger and spring onion paste, which I think is the best companion to chicken rice. All this for SG$7.90! No wonder Sin Swee Kee is highly rated by food bloggers. The staff are also very friendly.
