I watched the Porshe Carrera Cup Asia 911 GT3 cars from several postions over the weekend, mostly from turns 12 and 13. Above is the entrance to turn 13 under brakes and below is the apex of the corner.
Spectators standing on a raised platform got a great view very close of the cars exiting turn 13.
One spectacularly lost the rear end on the exit of the chicane (turn 12) at the entrance to the Anderson bridge. It oversteared into a 180 degree spin then drove forwards into the runoff area to avoid being hit and switched off the engine.
The marshalls then pushed it around in a multi point turn in the confined space so the driver could reenter the track. When he fired it up it barked and shreiked as the driver put some revs on and prepared to launch out of the runoff area at speed to avoid blocking traffic. The sound completely scared some of the locals, who had obviously never been that close to a real racing car before.
