On Sunday I went exploring in the Yarra Valley armed with my copy of the Foodies Guide. It’s a foodie paradise – cheese, hearty meals, wine, fresh air and time to think. I started at the Yarra Valley Dairy and then had lunch at the Healesville Hotel. I had the lamb shank and a friend had the beef ragu pasta. Both were fantastic.
After the previous night’s wonderful Pinot Noir from Sticks Winery we had to go to the source for a tasting of more of the excellent wine. Below is the view of the valley from Sticks. This was one of the best weekends I’ve had for a long time, with time to relax and do something different.
