Finding somewhere to have breakfast on Easter Sunday in Perth was a challenge. I was scared. Good food in the CBD of Perth is difficult enough at busy times; a public holiday Sunday morning could have been impossible. The streets were nearly deserted. Fortunately, Etro cafe on King St was open, made a decent coffee and a pleasing eggs Benedict, with a surprisingly tangy sauce. I was rescued and relieved. I went to my friends’ wedding that afternoon alert but not alarmed (or hungry).
