I’d noticed last year that Trippy Taco had been making use of the former Birdman Eating‘s footpath space to increase its outdoor seating area, and wondered if that was just ad hoc opportunism or a sign of something bigger. Now the Birdman building has been painted and received an awning to match the Trippy Taco building.

Trippy Taco quickly outgrew its original Smith St location and is often full to bursting, so another round of growth seems a worthwhile investment for a place that has always been enjoyable.

I’d say Northside is a pretty good Fitzroy story as well having also expanded into a record label

Looks a bit odd with Northside in the middle, like when you meet a girl/guy you like and their friend won’t bugger off! ;)

But I love Trippy’s so am always glad of extra space and not having to takeaway and sit in the gutter!
