Very Good Falafel is a very new falafel shop on Sydney Rd from established market stall operators Shuki and Louisa. It’s been open about two weeks. You may be familiar with their dips and falafel, but there’s more salads and other things to try here.

My friend, being a devote, needed to try the hummus and she declared it to be very satisfying, as they’re generous with the tahini, which we both prefer. And the falafel are perfectly crisp and crunchy and delicious. She also ordered the ktzizot, which has lamb kofte and salad in pita, while I had a sabih, which has fried eggplant and potato with pickles.

Very Good Falafel has been positively reviewed by Veganopoulous and Eat my street. I advise trying it soon before they get overwhelmed, as this is a fantastic place. I especially recommend the tart homemade lemonade.

Hi, thanks for mentioning my blog! I was happily queuing up for 15+ minutes to get a falafel from Shuki and Louisa’s Melbourne Uni stall so I’m stoked there’s a shop!
