The Howard Arkley exhibition at Tarrawarra Museum of Art in the Yarra Valley is excellent and I highly recommend it. I knew only the suburban house paintings and it was fascinating to see the breadth of his work. I was particularly impressed by his later paintings of the built environment featuring factories and freeways rather than suburban houses. The exhibition itself was beautifully staged with music from his collection played in different sections. Hearing Kraftwerk while looking at painting of freeways is very satisfying.

While in the Yarra Valley on a warm day means staying hydrated is important so my art loving friend and I sampled ciders and craft beers at the Napoleone Brewery and Ciderhouse cellar door and then ate a delicious cheese plate with chicken terrine at the Yarra Valley Dairy.
