Gutz is an old school cafe on Brunswick St. The owners run the cafe, there’s no indifferent staff with more attitude than tattoos, no style over substance interior design, and generally no pretensions. There is seriously good food with a mixture of Turkish and western dishes on the breakfast menu. Their menamen is great but on my last visit I tried the Anatolian eggs for the first time – scrambled eggs with pastirma, haloumi and cherry tomato salad, black olives and toasted Turkish bread. Heaven.
