Tucci Brown is a stationery shop slash cafe in Brighton. It opened another stationery shop slash cafe in the middle of the discount clothing outlet section of Smith St north of Johnston St last year. I had a coffee there once and it was great, but I’m not often passing through that strip so I never made a repeat visit.

It has taken me months to notice that the cafe has changed names (and presumably owners) to Pavlov’s Duck. The final tweet from the Tucci Brown Fitzroy Twitter account in April offered their coffee machines for sale. It didn’t seem the right place for such a shop. Zetta Florence and Kami on Brunswick St already serve this market. How much lifestyle stationery do people need? Not that much, apparently. Brighton and Fitzroy are very different.

Without the shop in the middle, there’s much more room for seating. The coffee is still good and I wish them well.
