Cool wet weather on Sunday 15 March did not stop the naked cycle ride through Fitzroy. It did make the many confused and delighted spectators admire the participants enormously. The event began with the cyclists meeting at a back street pub before cycling (clothed) north along Brunswick St a little before 4pm to another rendezvous point, where they undressed and returned south on Brunswick St about 45 minutes later. Note that the rest of the photos are probably NSFW.

It’s hard to see in this small image but the man on the right had a ‘such is life’ mock tatoo on his stomach.

Helmets were mandatory and there were some interesting footware choices amongst the participants, with ugg boots being a winner given the unexpectedly cold day.

Pleased to see the whole world has not become boring and obsessed with finances.

The crowd loved it! And the police seemed to be very reasonable. There was talk of arresting men with exposed genitals but this did not happen.

I can’t imagine anything more uncomfortable than bike riding in the nude!
