Many different people may use graffiti as a form of anonymous social or political statement or protest. Rarely, however, have I seen statements as obtuse and apparently without a clear cause or audience as these pieces just around the corner from Smith St in Collingwood. It’s easy to assume the author is an unhappy small business operator. But what is their context? I have not seen many Maasai in Collingwood. No lost cows wandering the streets. Where is common sense lacking in the city of Yarra? A sense of spelling is the only thing I can see missing.

The message is there to further confuse the drunks on the other side of the street.
