While walking along South Terrace in Fremantle on Saturday morning I passed a building that was closed and boarded up for renovations or demolition. On the boardings was a series of Basquiat-inspired graffiti art. I was extremely impressed by the vibrancy of the work and its contrast to the usual gig posters. It would have been almost common-place in Melbourne but in Perth it was distinctive and exceptional.
