Earlier this week I went to see The Science of Sleep, a charming and anarchic film about love, dreams, reality and the inner working of the human mind. It has a kind of surreal Being John Malkovich style but visually it’s far more complex, with animation and dream sequences that are beautiful and thought provoking.

Gael Garcia Bernal is amusing as Stephane Miroux, the protagonist, and Charlotte Gainsbourg is delightful as Stephanie, the women in the apartment next door he falls in love with.
